A couple weeks ago I was running around downtown looking to pull kids clothing for an upcoming editorial for La Petite Magazine. Knocking on showrooms and wondering hallways, trying to familiarize myself with the whole kid designer market thing. I stumbled across this adorable Scandinavian line Moi. Great basic designs in strong neutral colors, all featuring super cool illustration of birds. I fell in love with how comfortable yet stylish these pieces looked.
The brand comes with a story…the name
Moi comes from an Icelandic Raven who used the designers home as his own! Making him self known, the family would feed
him, offer him shelter and eventually named him Moi. So the theme of birds runs through the whole collection, from print to name. I love that!! Coco and I are so connected to nature up here in the hills, we are surrounded by birds, It felt right to feature Moi. Sadly, as Im writing this feature we found a dead hummingbird in our yard. Coco and I decide to bury him, she wanted to call him Moi.
You can find Moi at these online boutiques:
Thank you to Bodega International showroom for letting me pull.
I had to include these few out takes after a little chocolate egg bribe and her buddy silas wanting in on the action! The mustache is just too much.
