COCO TURNS 3!

Having a January birthday is tough, sharing your generic levitra ingredients birthday with your half brother is really tough. Luckily they are ten years apart so there is no cross over in unicorns and DJ’s when it comes to party planning. We like to go big for the holidays, my inner child races to the surface in a sort of explosion. However, the thought of two birthdays the same week after Christmas makes my head spin. So our solution is to push Coco’s party later in the year. Then everyone is happy and she is too young to care or know any different. She basically thinks everyday is her birthday any way…

This year we had to push the

party twice! A full cancellation the night before was a first for me. We are in a severe drought in LA and the one weekend we planned her party it rained. It also rained the year before and the year before that!! Finally we chose another date in May. Out of all the days of the year, the forecast set in again to rain. I mean seriously!! Luckily the rain passed but I was up again some harsh wind and a slight chill in the air. Nothing was going to stop this party happening. My pretty mason jars with flowers bouquets kept blowing over and drowning the moss and sandwiches. The balloons kept trying to fly away. The cake arrived with an unexpected trim which I was furious about. (How hard is it to order a plain cake in a solid color?) My flowers decorations on the cake kept blowing off. However, once the guests started to arrive I threw my hands up and surrendered to the fact that Coco will never know or care about all the tiny details. As long

as she is having a fun that is all the really matters. The fairy flew in on her ‘dragon’ and amazed the kiddies with her realistic fairy performance and face painting skills. There were wings, wands, crowns running around everywhere. It turned out to be the perfect afternoon, the sun came out, the wind vanished. Smiles decorated the party and I felt at ease. We did it. She may be almost 3 1/2 but in her mind it was the best day ever!!
